Anoka County honors more than a dozen employees for 30–45 years of service

Anoka County commissioners on Oct. 7 recognized more than a dozen county employees for milestone years of service, including multiple staff who have worked for the county 30, 35 and 40 years and one employee with 45 years of service.
The recognition took place during the county board meeting’s “chair’s remarks” segment, where Chair Kelly Gamache read names of staff who could not attend and introduced those present as the board moved through a list of awardees from public safety, corrections, human services and libraries. Departments making presentations included Human Services and Emergency Communications. Kelly Hedberg of Human Services introduced recipients and Kerry Morrissey, Director of Emergency Communications, highlighted Dinelle Lawrence’s 45 years with Anoka County 911.
County leaders emphasized institutional experience and departmental continuity. Several corrections staff were named, and Human Services recognized supervisors in social services and adult protection intake. The library system highlighted Vivian Fish’s 40 years of service at the Centennial Library. Commissioners thanked the honorees and noted the event drew a large audience of colleagues and family members.
The day’s remarks were ceremonial: no policy decisions were taken as part of the awards, and the board adjourned the recognition portion and resumed the business portion of its Oct. 7 agenda.
