Bel Air police credit multi-jurisdictional work for arrest in string of auto thefts

The department said the stolen vehicle was tracked by the owner's mobile application, which allowed dispatch to direct officers to the vehicle's location near Eastern Avenue and Dundalk.
Corporal Ganovsky, who was monitoring the call, located the vehicle; Bel Air officers and Baltimore City police apprehended a suspect identified in the meeting as "Brandon Patrick Beavers, 46," from the Franklin Street area. Detectives executed a search warrant at the suspect's residence and located evidence tying him to several related auto-theft and theft-from-vehicle incidents. The department credited dispatch and detectives for a rapid, "gloves off" approach that led to apprehension and recovery.
Chief Moore said the arrest helped connect multiple incidents in different neighborhoods and praised the investigative team and dispatcher Joyce Pinnock for guiding officers. The department said it would post an update with the suspect's information on Facebook.
