The board approved Ordinance 2025‑21 Oct. 9 to issue a one‑day liquor license for the village’s family Halloween event at Blackhawk Park.
President Amy Jo Wittenberg and trustees said the event will include food trucks (pizza and a Mexican truck), a children’s parade, inflatables, business tables, and opportunities for local businesses to hand out treats. The license will permit beer and wine sales for adults during the event. The village asked event organizers to coordinate with police and public works for logistics and safety.
Trustees approved the ordinance on a roll‑call vote, 5‑0.
