The Indian Head Park Board of Trustees voted Oct. 9 to approve most consent agenda items but pulled items a (meeting minutes) and c (preliminary financial report) for separate consideration.
After discussion, the board held a separate roll‑call vote on the minutes (item a). Trustee Ek objected to the length of the draft minutes and said she would vote ‘‘no’’ because she found them too long; President Amy Jo Wittenberg repeatedly asked whether the minutes accurately reflected the meeting. On the roll call the minutes were approved 4‑1.
Trustees then heard the treasurer’s report for the month ending Sept. 30, 2025. The treasurer reported cash on hand at 08/31/2025 of $3,031,956.87; September payments of $443,930.67; total revenues of $459,701.08; and an ending bank balance of $3,047,727.28. Trustees discussed that revenues appear below a simple year‑to‑date expectation because the second installment of property taxes has not yet been billed by Cook County. The board approved the preliminary financial report on a roll‑call vote, 5‑0.
Procedural note: The board voted to approve the consent agenda without items a and c; those two items were then considered and voted on separately as described above.
