The Torrance City Council approved multiple resolutions and an ordinance at its Oct. 21, 2025 meeting. All measures passed unanimously.
• Resolution 2025-61 — A resolution recognizing the 100th anniversary of the historic Torrance Woman’s Clubhouse. Adopted unanimously. (Clerk read number and title on the record.)
• Resolution 2025-62 — Amending the city’s pay-and-conditions resolution for Torrance Police Commanders Association (TPCA). Adopted as part of the consent calendar.
• Resolution 2025-63 — Setting wages, hours and working conditions for police safety management employees effective July 13, 2025, repealing a prior resolution. Adopted as part of the consent calendar.
• Resolution 2025-64 — Setting forth hours, wages and working conditions for the city attorney effective May 4, 2025. The city manager disclosed the new monthly pay rate as $22,978.50; Council adopted the resolution in open session as required by the Brown Act.
• Resolution 2025-65 and Ordinance 3960 — Council adopted a resolution finding unique local conditions and adopted an ordinance to amend the Torrance Municipal Code to adopt the 2025 California Fire Code with local amendments; the council also determined the ordinance is exempt from CEQA and approved an ordinance summary for publication.
