City Center Phase 1 final plat approved; developers describe mixed‑use and townhouses

The Planning Commission voted unanimously on Oct. 14 to approve the final plat for City Center Phase 1 (PC 40‑25), the first phase of a 52‑acre City Center project.
Staff reported Phase 1 covers 12.5 acres and will create six mixed‑use slots, 25 townhouse slots, seven open spaces, right‑of‑way for six public roads and required utilities and stormwater infrastructure, consistent with the previously approved master development plan. The applicant team said initial commercial lots along the entrance will be held for future development once roads and infrastructure are in place; the packet shows a pump station already under construction.
Commissioners expressed excitement about the project and its potential as a neighborhood asset. The commission approved the final plat by voice and roll call (9–0).
