County to amend solar procurement rule to align with state law that protects U.S.-made panels

Alan Nichols summarized the state statute and a notice from First Solar, a U.S. manufacturer, noting there is no known local project at this time but the county must adjust local language to avoid conflict with state law. Commission members raised no substantive objection to the housekeeping change; staff said it will advertise the amendment for the December joint meeting.
