Fire department asks board to authorize meeting with Cheshire EMS; board to participate

Town staff reported that the fire chief requested a meeting with Cheshire EMS to address logistical and communication challenges that occurred previously but now appear improved. The chief and his leadership team asked for an opportunity to meet directly with Cheshire EMS personnel to review procedures and establish clearer lines of communication.

Board members said one or more of them should attend to listen and be aware of full context; they asked staff to reach out to the county administrator to schedule the meeting and to invite the relevant personnel, including Cheshire EMS representatives and fire department leadership. Staff said they would coordinate scheduling and report back to the board.
