The district’s Curriculum & Technology Committee reported it reviewed presentations (including pre‑recorded principal videos) and recommended several new or revised high‑school courses for 30‑day public display: astronomy; interior design; merchandising and manufacturing; residential electric; and residential plumbing.
The committee also reviewed the high‑school and middle‑school curriculum guides and said those guides will be placed on the Nov. 5 Board of Education agenda for approval if no substantive changes are required following the display period. Committee members said they had additional questions about individual courses and gathered more information to share with the full board prior to the display period.
No curricular approvals were final at the meeting; the items were reported as committee recommendations and will proceed through the 30‑day public display process before a board vote.
