Division staff reported progress on a revised teacher observation cycle and the teacher performance evaluation system, saying administrators gave positive initial feedback and additional training is scheduled.
"The goal was continuity [and] consistency, across the board," said Doctor Davis, who described follow‑up training scheduled for principals. Staff credited Miss Brown for delivering training and noted the division will continue to provide instructional support and measure summative evidence as required by state code.
Doctor Davis said the evaluation work focuses on ensuring comparable measures of instruction across schools and that administrators received good feedback from the recent training session. The next principal training and further feedback collection were announced for the upcoming Thursday meeting.
No formal action was taken on the evaluation item at the meeting; staff noted an unvoted motion on a separate policy item interrupted the presentation but the board later recorded the pending motion. The update is informational and marked for continued implementation and training.
