The Guthrie City Council used its consent agenda and subsequent votes to approve routine items during the Aug. 5 meeting.
Consent agenda: The council approved consent-agenda items a through o (city business, bid awards and routine contracts) by unanimous vote.
School Resource Officer agreement: The council approved the FY2025–26 School Resource Officer agreement with the Guthrie Public Schools. The city will provide two SROs to the district and pay the net difference of approximately $8,484 for the contract year. Staff recommended approval and the council voted unanimously.
Guthrie Housing Authority: The council approved the reappointment of Jonathan McLean as resident commissioner to the Guthrie Housing Authority for a three-year term expiring August 2028; staff had received a supporting letter and the council voted unanimously.
Ending: These approvals were routine and required no additional council appropriation beyond existing budgets. Where staff recommended follow-up (for example, monitoring contract terms), departments will carry out those actions.
