Placerville names David Warren next city manager as Morris prepares to retire

Mayor Clerici said the council received multiple qualified applications, conducted interviews and ultimately appointed an internal candidate. Council discussion emphasized ensuring a smooth transition; Warren said he and Mr. Morris are "actively working on a plan to help ensure a smooth transition" ahead of Morris's October retirement.
The council did not take a separate roll-call vote on the appointment in open session during the Aug. 12 meeting; the announcement was presented as part of the mayor's announcements and Warren—OVID?s remarks.
