The Marion County Board (Planning & Zoning) took the following formal actions on Oct. 20, 2025:
1) Item 1.11 — Case 25‑S13 (Consent): Small‑scale future land use change from Medium Residential to High Residential on a 0.53‑acre parcel (Steven and Tasha Curry). Motion to approve made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner McLean; vote: unanimous (5–0). Outcome: approved on consent.
2) Case 251101SU — Wall Reeves American Legion Unit 58 (special use permit): Approve SUP to allow monthly flea markets (one weekend per month, up to 12 per year) and enumerated special events with conditions including hours of operation 8 a.m.–6 p.m., prohibition on outdoor amplified entertainment except for limited ceremonial uses, screening/lighting requirements, and administrative renewal terms.
