Grand Prairie holds annual "Strolling with the Mayor" Pink Out walk to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Mayor Ron Jensen and residents took part in the annual two-mile "Strolling with the Mayor and Pink Out" walk in downtown Grand Prairie, an event held during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month that began and ended at the Grand Prairie Farmers Market and included a city-sponsored community health fair offering information and services.

Organizers said the walk, now in its seventh year, is intended to raise awareness of breast cancer, honor survivors and remember those who have died.
