EECU representatives presented the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District’s October staff shout-out to Megan Henderson during a brief in-person recognition. District staff and parents highlighted Henderson’s work as a history teacher who creates “an interactive and engaging classroom” that promotes curiosity and critical thinking, and noted her role leading the junior high cheer team where she “instills discipline, teamwork, and confidence.”
Megan Henderson accepted the recognition and said, “I love my students so much, and I love my cheerleaders so much.” She added that hearing the compliments “fills my cup up and makes me wanna keep going.” The event was a short ceremonial acknowledgment; no district policy action or vote was associated with the presentation.
