Planning commission approves Cody Transport final plat for lot split on North Breeze Road

The Montgomery City Planning Commission voted to approve a final plat for Cody Transport that splits a property on the west side of North Breeze Road into three platted lots, the commission heard.

Brad Flowers of Flowers and White Engineering, presenting on behalf of Cody Transport, told the commission the owner originally planned two lots of roughly 10 acres each but a small fenced well site on the southwest corner required creating a third lot. "We ended up doing a third lot for that," Flowers said, describing an access easement from Route 331 to Montgomery Water Works that serves the well.

The plan would create lots of "about 10 to 15 acres each," Flowers said. Chair Leslie Stone clarified a road reference during the presentation: "Just for clarity, that's 331, not 31." The commission heard questions from members before a motion to approve the development plan was moved and seconded; the chair called the question and the commission recorded the item as approved on the record.
