Community members urge support for rural education as board discusses deficit-correction planning

In board discussion later in the meeting, Business Manager Brett Burditt and Wayne Wormstadt discussed the process for reducing the projected General Fund deficit in FY2026-27 by planning corrections in FY2027-28. Burditt noted that annual financial reports had been submitted to the state and that an independent audit will begin Sept. 2.
