Superintendent Wayne Wormstadt reviewed the Meade School District 46-1 Strategic Plan and District Report Card during the Sept. 29 special session, describing how staff use the plan and scorecard to guide and monitor district efforts.
Wormstadt said progress is tracked monthly and that comprehensive reports are presented to the board every 90 days. Board President Justin Jutting led a conversation among members about potential priorities for the coming fiscal year, with trustees sharing perspectives on initiatives, improvements and long-term objectives for FY26.
The discussion was exploratory: board members identified areas they want prioritized, but no formal goals or resolutions were adopted during the session. The strategic-plan review provided context the board can use when prioritizing budget decisions and program initiatives as the district responds to the recently reported enrollment and budget pressures.
Next steps: staff will continue to provide periodic scorecard reports and the board will refine its FY26 goals in subsequent meetings.
