Commission approves emergency resolution withdrawing objection to Delphus Carryout liquor-permit transfer

The Dayton City Commission voted unanimously to pass emergency Resolution No. 6900-25, which withdraws the city’s objection to the transfer and renewal of liquor permit No. 5377780 for MS 2 Carryout LLC, doing business as Delphus Carryout at 2903 West 3rd Street.
Clerk Miss Blackshear read the resolution into the record and the resolution was moved for immediate passage. Commissioners then recorded individual voices of "aye" when polled: Mayor Jeffrey J. Mims Jr., Commissioner Joseph, Commissioner Shaw, Commissioner Fairchild and Commissioner Turner Sloss.
During closing remarks Commissioner Turner Sloss asked staff to clarify the level of oversight and enforcement the city will exercise to ensure the business adheres to law-department recommendations addressing littering, loitering and graffiti. Staff (Miss Dixie) said the agreement contains negotiated commitments and pledged to follow up with a memorandum clarifying enforcement and oversight.
The resolution was adopted as an emergency measure; the record shows explicit voice votes in favor and no opposing votes.
