Staff reported the acquisition price would be the average of two appraisals (the average reported was $604,000) and asked for approval of the purchase resolution. Commissioners approved Resolution 2025-19. The commission also approved a contract for engineering services from Christopher B. Burke Engineering LLC for $18,905 to support pre-acquisition work and potential crossing design.
Next steps: staff will proceed with environmental review and add deed restrictions as appropriate prior to closing; engineering work will move forward to inform project scoping and grant applications.
