At its Sept. 8 meeting the Meade School District 46-1 board reviewed a substantial personnel block and administrative proposals related to staffing and retirement.
The board reviewed and approved numerous support-staff hires, hourly-rate changes and promotions (for example Rochelle Cramer as administrative assistant at Stagebarn Middle School and several food-service and paraprofessional appointments). The minutes list resignations (Katy Edwards and Kim Davis) and one termination (Seth Keszler). The board also recorded multiple teacher contract amendments reflecting step/salary movement; amounts were listed for each affected teacher.
The board discussed a proposed MOU offering an early retirement incentive for General Fund teachers intended to encourage natural attrition and reduce the need for reductions in force; formal board action on that MOU was scheduled for the October meeting. The board then entered executive session pursuant to SDCL 1-25-2.1 to discuss personnel matters at 6:55 p.m. and declared exit at 7:03 p.m.
The meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
