Ocala code board approves extensions, moves several cases to liens in enforcement session

During individual hearings, the board extended the compliance date for William Nelson’s property at 2710 NE 15th Avenue to Jan. 1, 2026 after staff reported partial cleanup but noncompliance; Jennifer Buller, code enforcement supervisor, confirmed staff would provide Nelson with lien information. The board also declined to pause enforcement on CE250261 (Massey) and directed that the prior order proceed, meaning fines can continue to accrue.
Other extensions included a grant to Lawrence Williams (case 202411009) to move the compliance date to Dec. 4, 2025, and an extension requested by a newly contacted owner to Feb. 5, 2026 (202411273). The board accepted staff recommendations on several additional cases, and authorized that a set of 2024 cases be entered as liens (case numbers include 202411306, 202411377, 202411493, 202411547, 202411600, 202411622, 202411663).
