Vice chair appointment: Commissioners then nominated and appointed Commissioner Kilraen as vice chair; the roll call recorded the appointment as passing (recorded as 7‑0 during the roll call sequence).
Staff reports and projects: Patrick Mercado, code compliance officer contracted to the CRA, presented enforcement statistics and before‑and‑after photos showing frequent field resolutions and longer zoning/maintenance cases. Mercado said continued focus will be on landscaping, building and parking‑lot maintenance and alley/restaurant back‑of‑house issues.
Maintenance and capital projects: CRA project manager Zach Gogol summarized maintenance efforts (sidewalk repairs, curb and dumpster repainting, seal‑coating purchase orders). Wendy Williams, principal engineer for Public Works, reported design delays on the Cape Coral Parkway six‑laning project tied to signal plan reviews by Lee County; she said design is near 100% and construction is expected to be complete by the end of next year. Commissioners asked for clearer timeline communication and for a list of county review needs to help expedite the process.
Next meeting: The CRA set its next meeting for Jan. 14, 2026, at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers and adjourned.
