Staff reported the courthouse windows project came in under budget and that installers were on site and expected to complete remaining louvers that day; the council approved a transfer of $15,004.16 from capital projects to the courthouse windows line to cover the final invoice.
Council also approved moving $210,000 that had been budgeted for contract cleaning to building maintenance for the jail. County staff said the funds will cover required data lines for a water control management system and replacement of lock cylinders in the older portion of the jail; staff noted inmate workers will maintain unoccupied portions of the facility and additional staffing is not anticipated at this time.
Several smaller clustered transfers — including postage, insurance coverage and HR overtime — were also approved in a bundled set of motions.
Next steps: Facilities and county staff will execute the transfers and proceed with final payments and contracted work; ongoing budget monitoring and reconciliation will be handled by the auditor’s office.
