Board extends passenger-rail ad hoc committee after debate, 16-10 roll call

The Rock County Board of Supervisors voted 16–10 to extend authorization for the county’s ad hoc committee on passenger rail development after a short debate about the committee’s reporting structure and purpose.

Chair introduced the motion to bring item E8 back to the floor; Supervisor Suttle moved to extend the committee and Supervisor Bostwick seconded. Clerks experienced roll-call confusion during the vote and temporarily reset the tally; after corrections the clerk announced the final roll-call result as yes 16, no 10. The motion thus passed and the committee’s authorization was extended.
