Cass County Commission approves new internet contract for Assessor and Collector offices

The motion was moved and seconded and carried by voice vote (recorded as 2 in favor, 0 opposed).
A commissioner noted that the county’s current monthly fee for that service is about $1,200 and that the new agreement would reduce it to roughly $350 per month while providing faster service. “It’s a no brainer,” the presiding officer said when describing the cost and service improvements.
No written amendments or additional conditions were recorded during the discussion. The commission did not identify which commissioner moved or seconded the motion on the record. The resolution was announced as passed during the meeting and recorded as Resolution 25-114.
The commission moved next to other agenda items and later voted to enter executive session for legal matters.
