Needham committee updates staffing: economic development role reposted; committee eyes rotating leadership

Heidi Frail and other members said the posting was revised — the title was changed from 'manager' to 'director' — while duties remain largely the same, a move intended to draw more experienced applicants. The committee indicated a target timeline for filling the role in the first quarter of the coming year.
Members discussed future committee leadership and said they favor rotating roles such as chair and vice chair so that service does not remain with a single person permanently. The chair encouraged members to consider how they might contribute and to volunteer when leadership changes are scheduled. The committee will wait until the economic development director is settled before making leadership changes but plans to solicit volunteers in the interim.
