Organizers of the Cochise County Charity Ride said they awarded $10,000 each to five local charities (total $50,000), named 2025 sponsors and described raffle prizes and plans to open recipient applications earlier for 2026.
Sergeant Jesus Davidson reported the Cochise County Charity Ride awarded $10,000 apiece to five organizations this year, for a total distribution of $50,000.
Davidson listed the recipients as Sierra Vista Kiwanis Serving Kids; Bisbee Coaster Race Inc.; Champions for Youth Foundation; and the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Shop with a Cop programs in Benson and Douglas. “We gave, $10,000 to 5 charities. That's $50,000,” he said on KWCD’s First Watch.
He thanked a roster of community sponsors that supported the ride and raffles, including Ed Morris Automotive Group, Spartan Armor Systems, Law Tigers, Berg's Enterprises, American Southwest Credit Union, Desert RV and others. Organizers highlighted major raffle items this year—an off-road side-by-side, MacBook Pros, iPad Airs, generators and other prizes—and said they introduced a commemorative buckle to replace the traditional sheriff’s coin.
Davidson said the ride will evolve in 2026 with earlier recipient application timelines and changes to on- and off-road routes. He encouraged local businesses and volunteers to keep supporting the event, which combines fundraising and community engagement across Cochise County.
