The Pullman School District reported tentative three‑year collective bargaining agreements with its certificated and classified staff groups.
Superintendent Bob Maxwell told the board the district and associations reached a tentative 2025–28 agreement with the Pullman Education Association (PEA) that includes a revised salary schedule for three years, clarified language for instructional coaches, updated employee-safety provisions, modified assignment/transfer language and phased-in elementary preparation-time adjustments to be finalized by a joint committee. He described the agreement as the first of three tentative CBAs.
Maxwell also summarized tentative agreements with the Pullman Classified Educators Association and the district’s Educational Support Personnel (ESP) group, which contain revised wage schedules, updated language on student discipline and safety, paraeducator evaluation changes, revised stipends and new monthly mileage reimbursements for staff who travel between buildings.
Board members thanked both the negotiation teams and association representatives for reaching multi-year agreements. The transcript records presentation and commendation for the negotiation work; the CMP notes that the agreements were reported as tentative and the transcript does not show final ratification or board adoption votes on the CBAs during this meeting.
Next steps: finalized tentative agreements typically proceed to ratification by bargaining-unit members and final board action or ratification per district procedures.
