Hardin County canvasses Nov. 4 constitutional amendment election; turnout 9.8%

Elections Administrator Alyssa Freeman presented the official canvass of the Nov. 4, 2025 constitutional amendment special election to Hardin County Commissioners Court on Nov. 12.
Freeman reported that 4,296 voters participated in the county’s special election, representing 9.8% turnout. She provided the county’s tallies for each proposition: Proposition 1 — 2,551 for, 1,671 against; Proposition 2 — 3,762 for, 500 against; Proposition 3 — 3,429 for, 811 against; Proposition 4 — 2,441 for, 1,768 against; Proposition 5 — 3,544 for, 667 against. “We had a total turnout of 4,296 voters,” Freeman said while presenting the results.
The court voted to accept the canvass as presented; the totals were displayed on the meeting screen and will be recorded in the official record.
