Board elects Mary Ellen as chair, Deborah as vice chair; sets December meeting

The Petersburg Borough Library Board elected Mary Ellen as chair and Deborah as vice chair and set the next regular meeting for Dec. 9; motions to approve minutes and adjourn were also recorded.
During the Nov. 10 meeting, the Petersburg Borough Library Board conducted officer elections and routine procedural votes.
A motion to elect Mary Ellen as chair and Deborah as vice chair was made and seconded. "I move that in the election of officers, we elect Mary Ellen as the chair and Deborah as the vice chair," a board member said; the motion passed with multiple ayes recorded.
Earlier in the meeting the board moved to accept the minutes of April 22 and approved the amended agenda. The meeting closed after a motion to adjourn; the board set its next meeting for Tuesday, Dec. 9 and asked members to mark their calendars.
The board also asked staff to circulate meeting materials in advance of the December meeting and to provide the fund-balance report and program recap requested during the director—s report.
