Deputy Superintendent Jason Cox presented Provo Way awards during the Provo School District board meeting, recognizing multiple teachers for classroom innovation and a student leader from Provo High School.
Award recipients named by staff included Jordan Kaminski (Shoreline Middle School), Keaton (Edgemont Elementary), Holland Mon (Sunrise Elementary), Hannah Medina (Westridge Elementary), and Gail Painter (Adult Education). The board invited each honoree to the front of the room for individual acknowledgment. Principal and board remarks emphasized hands-on classroom strategies, student engagement and staff dedication.
Kathleen O'Dell of Provo High was named student of the month for leadership on the communications team and work with the CAPS program. Board members and attendees congratulated winners and echoed appreciation for district educators and student leadership.
