St. Joseph County commissioners approved several infrastructure items on Nov. 12, including a small construction change order, a schedule extension for a water‑treatment project and authorization to advertise for paving bids.
IPG staff recommended and the board approved change order #1 for the GM employee entrance project (R&S92503‑R) with Reethralli Construction for $5,238.06 to address unforeseen storm‑sewer site conditions; staff noted the project total to date is $1,304,075.06.
The board also approved change order #4 with LD Doxa Associates for the SJEC water treatment plant phase 2 expansion to extend the substantial completion date to May 31, 2026, primarily to allow final site restoration. IPG staff said there is no monetary change in that order.
Separately, IPG asked to advertise bids for resurfacing and rehabilitation (R&S 92602‑D) using a previously appropriated $2,900,000; staff said the package covers about nine miles of paving, including mainline and subsidiary roads and specifically includes Fur Road. Commissioners approved advertising the work and expected to receive bids in early December.
Votes on each item were recorded as approvals by the commissioners present.
