Sawyer County CJCC meets informally after failing to reach quorum; bylaws review deferred

The Sawyer County Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee convened on Nov. 14 but discovered it did not have a quorum. Staff said the committee had seven members present but needed eight to take formal action; the Chair confirmed the meeting would be informational and that votes requiring a supermajority could not proceed.
Because of the absent quorum, agenda items that would have required a two‑thirds vote were not considered, and approval of minutes and other business was deferred to the next meeting. The Chair noted that Judge Isham’s resignation and a review of the CJCC bylaws will be on the next agenda when the committee can meet with a quorum.
During the informational session the committee still received reports and heard presentations from program staff and outside experts, but no formal motions, votes or committee actions were recorded.
The meeting adjourned after committee members offered to circulate notes from a recent 'tall cop' presentation.
