Education committee reports growth; Human Rights Commission to honor Commissioner Wallace Dec. 11

Separately, the commission noted Commissioner Wallace will be recognized by the Human Rights Commission on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers; members said they plan to attend. A staff member confirmed the date, time and location.
During public comment, a community member (Speaker 1) urged listeners to contact state senators about changes being added to a bill and recommended using the 5 Calls app to make their views known; commissioners acknowledged the comment and reiterated their goal of proactive policy work through the policy committee.
Because there was no quorum, none of these items required formal action at the meeting.
