Staff reports CDOT mobility‑hub open house and downtown parking study; mayor notes brief council meeting

Planning staff and the town’s council liaison provided brief operational updates during the Nov. 13 Planning Commission meeting.
Staff reported that the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will host an open house on Monday, Nov. 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the town library to present three finalist designs for a proposed mobility hub (a consolidated bus stop/transfer facility). Staff said the town has been involved in the selection process and that CDOT is expected to bring a recommendation to Town Council in the near future.
Staff also summarized initial findings from a downtown parking study, said additional community outreach is planned, and indicated the study will be presented to Town Council in January or February for further consideration.
Mayor Jason Gray, serving as the Planning Commission’s town council liaison, said the most recent council meeting was brief and included approval of an auto‑dealership‑related item in the South Wilcox/frontage area and a discussion about a Chatfield reservoir item. He described the meeting as containing four items and finishing quickly.
Separately, the commission approved its Oct. 9 minutes on a 5‑0 vote earlier in the meeting (procedural).
