Robla board receives first reading of revised facility-use policy and updated fee schedule for synthetic fields

A staff presenter said the changes are largely grammatical and cosmetic and were recommended by the California School Boards Association (CSBA), and that the primary substantive change is an updated fee schedule to reflect the district’s new synthetic fields and to bring the schedule up to date (the prior schedule dated from 2015).
“To account for the addition of the synthetic fields in the district … the fee schedule needed updating,” the presenter said, and added that the district compared fees with surrounding and similarly sized districts.
Board members asked clarifying questions about how fee differences among Robla, Main and neighboring schools relate to the new fields; staff confirmed the schedule reflects comparable-district review and will return for a vote at the next meeting.
The item remains at the first-reading stage; the board did not take a final vote on policy changes at this meeting.
