Warren Co. R‑III board amends consent agenda, approves summer school and a $12,000 change order

The Warren Co. R‑III Board of Education amended and then approved its consent agenda, approved the 2026 summer school plan and authorized a small construction change order during its public meeting.
Board members voted to remove the personnel sheet from the consent agenda so it could be considered after a closed‑session discussion. A motion to amend the consent agenda carried by voice vote; the board then approved the amended consent agenda by voice vote.
A separate motion to approve the district’s summer school proposal also passed by voice vote. The presenter had outlined programming for kindergarten through 12th grade, proposed dates of June 8–July 9 and attendance incentives for K–8 students. According to the presentation, summer 2025 enrollment was 949 students with an ADA of 84.2.
The board also approved a change order to expand the Highway 47 entrance to the district’s new building to add stacking and turning room. District staff said the work will require a curb cut and drainage relocation; the estimated additional cost is “a little under $12,000,” as presented by staff.
Before adjourning, the board set its next regular meeting for Dec. 11, 2025 and scheduled the related closed session to proceed at that meeting.
Votes were taken by oral voice vote; the chair announced motions as carried and did not record roll‑call tallies in the public record.
