Casa Verde High School bond project about 40% complete, district says
Summary
Bond program manager reported the Casa Verde High School bond construction is roughly 40% complete, with underground utilities and pier-and-beam work finished, recent invoices paid (including a $3M-plus draw), and a winter milestone plan that aims to advance roof, slab and flat-work progress while keeping the project on budget.
The board received a construction update on the 2024 Casa Verde High School bond program that showed steady progress and billing consistent with the project schedule.
Bond program manager Cameron Holloman told trustees the project is about 40% complete and about 30% of contract payments have been paid. He highlighted recent work including completed stormwater connections, pier-and-beam completion, exterior windows and roofing progress, interior drywall and low-voltage rough-ins, and a recent invoice of about $3 million that was paid. Holloman said the team expects to finish several slabs and flat work over the winter and showed photos illustrating recent milestones.
Holloman also described logistical benefits once the student parking lot work is complete, including relocating the job trailer to reduce construction traffic on White Settlement Road. He told the board the schedule remains on pace and that district financial oversight continues during invoice review and approval.
No board action was required; the item was informational.
