The Hanover Area School District board approved a slate of personnel actions Thursday, including a special-education hire, two supervisor salary adjustments and an administrative title change.
Under personnel item 12 the board appointed Samantha Joe Idea as a special-education teacher at a salary of $55,743 (step one) per the HAEA contract, contingent on satisfactory completion of pre-employment requirements. The motion to appoint was moved and seconded and passed on roll-call.
The board also approved salary adjustments effective Nov. 14, 2025: Courtney Payton, special education supervisor, to $94,500 annually; and Alexandra Holmgren, special education supervisor, to $80,668 annually. Both adjustments were presented by Superintendent Malloy and carried on roll-call votes.
Separately, personnel item 3 approved a title change for Nathan Barrett to chief operating officer, effective Nov. 14, 2025 and expiring Dec. 31, 2025. The board approved personnel items one through eleven (including that title change) in a single motion on the personnel agenda.
The HAEA contract was cited as the salary-step framework for the new hire. The meeting record does not include deliberations about search processes, candidate pools, or salary benchmarking; decisions were recorded as motions and roll-call approvals.
