Duffy advised residents to use the official county payment portal and warned that third-party payers may charge additional fees. She said taxpayers will receive mailed bills when they arrive and reiterated that taxes are due Monday, Dec. 22 (Dec. 20 falls on a Saturday this year).
Duffy also said the Treasurer’s Office is still receiving delinquent payments and mentioned a recent in-person payment of $2,200,000. She thanked the county clerk’s office for assistance finalizing the numbers that enabled timely mailing this year.
The Board took no formal action on the treasurer’s notice; the announcement served as administrative communication to the public and commissioners.
