Board hears October financials, approves budget calendar and several procedural motions; enters executive session

Miss Smith recommended the superintendent present an FY27 budget adoption calendar for board approval; the recommendation will appear as an action item at the regular session. Vice Chair Janie Jones moved and Justin Kenny seconded a motion to place action items on the consent agenda at the regular session; the board approved the motion 7-0.
Later in the meeting the board approved a motion to go into executive session to discuss pending litigation (moved by Justin Kenny, seconded by Heather Duncan; vote 7-0). After reconvening, the board approved legal representation for Stephanie Burke and Alex Jacob in pending litigation in accordance with Board policy BBE (motion moved by Heather Duncan and seconded by Vice Chair Janie Jones; vote 7-0).
Heather Duncan moved and Nikita Palmer seconded to conclude the meeting; the board adjourned at 7:16 PM with a 7-0 vote.
