At its Nov. 13 meeting the East Ridge City Council took the following formal actions (motions carried unless noted):
- Approval of minutes of Oct. 23, 2025 — motion passed unanimously. - Ordinance 12-36 (rezoning 416 Donaldson Road R-1 to R-2) — adopted on second and final reading, unanimous vote. - Ordinance 12-38 (FY2026 operating budget amendment) — passed first reading to amend revenues and expenditures for the fire engine final payment and a Hamilton County grant (first reading approved by vote). - Resolution 37-59 (interlocal addenda with Riverside for police and fire payments) — approved unanimously; new amounts: $90,171 (police) and $40,994 (fire) for FY 7/1/2026–6/30/2027. - Resolution 37-60 (advance of state salary supplements for eligible officers and firefighters) — approved unanimously; police: 48 officers × $800; fire: 29 firefighters × $800, with expected state reimbursement next spring. - Resolution 37-61 (purchase of 10 ruggedized in-car tablets) — approved unanimously; low bid $40,128.20 (Dairy Solutions). - Resolution 37-62 (change order for new fire engine, $12,533) — approved unanimously. - Resolution 37-63 (Venue 1921 alcohol-service policy) — approved 4–1 (Council member Cagle opposed); policy requires 30-day application, city-approved bar staff, $50 nonrefundable alcohol fee and insurance; staff proposed police for events of 100+ attendees (council debated threshold). - Resolution 37-64 (Big Sky Landscapes contract for Venue 1921 landscaping, $58,150) — approved unanimously. - Resolution 37-65 (purchase of chairs, tables, linens for Venue 1921, $15,004.78) — approved unanimously. - Resolution 37-66 (waive Camp Jordan Arena rental fees for East Ridge Elementary School graduation, May 19, 2026) — approved unanimously. - Acceptance of STEP 1 teaching garden grant (Hamilton County Health Department, ~$1,000) — approved.
Several administrative agenda items were also set for the Dec. 11 meeting (Christmas parade awards, FY24–25 audit presentation, vendor list approvals).
