No formal recommendation or vote was taken by the SRLJC at this meeting; Mike advised members the board will need to weigh immediate repair needs against longer‑term capacity planning.
The council also briefly discussed ongoing hiring pressures for corrections officers and a modest reduction in jail population that may be partly attributable to the supported‑release program.
