Elliott said an elevator inspection remained pending at another high school but crews expected approval after recent work; he estimated that project is "roughly gonna be a $100,000 under budget" but cautioned some drilling costs (about $18,000) remain to be confirmed.
At Brewer High, Elliott described phased inspections that could allow partial use of completed areas (baseball, softball, soccer) and progress on dugouts, locker rooms, concessions, storm drains and a retention pond; he said crews would continue grading and gravel placement before turf installation.
Elliott showed photos of the RDP Park remodel, noting new offices, a conference room, a computer lab, nursing and aerospace classrooms, and a graphics wall recognizing the partnership with Morgan County Schools and Calhoun Community College. A principal at RDP Park, Brooke Hudson, was identified as documenting the remodel with photos.
A ribbon-cutting for Crossroads Junior High was announced for Dec. 17 at 9 a.m.; board members thanked project teams and construction crews for their work.
