School grades and online academy closure: The board approved updated school grade reporting language required by state agencies, and approved a motion to close the Bradshaw Mountain High School Online Academy effective immediately as presented. The motion was moved by Mr. Sprague and seconded by Mrs. Unbrecht; the motion carried by voice vote.
Personnel action, executive session: The board accepted the superintendent’s recommendation to issue a notice of intent to terminate (personnel); the presenter for the item was Danette Derickson. After the vote the board moved, pursuant to ARS 38‑431.03(A)(1), into executive session to review Superintendent Brett Dahl’s contract. After returning to open session the board tabled further discussion on the contract to a subsequent meeting and adjourned.
