The Novi Community School District Board of Education voted to accept the 2024–25 audit report and to adopt the first general fund budget amendment for 2025–26.
District auditors presented their findings and commended the internal finance team for thorough records and cooperation during the audit process. Board member Mrs. Roney moved approval of the audit, and the motion carried with unanimous support.
Finance staff explained that the state's late budget required multiple amendments this year; the first amendment was presented to align district estimates with newly available state figures. The board adopted the amendment as presented and was told to expect additional amendments later in the winter and a final amendment in June. During discussion Mrs. Beaudoin thanked finance staff by name: "I just wanted to thank miss Secuna and her team for all the work that went into this," she said.
Both actions passed on voice votes. The board directed staff to continue monitoring revenue and expenditure projections and to bring subsequent amendments and reports to the finance committee and full board as needed.
