Board approves contract adjustments, hires and routine business during monthly meeting

Following a brief closed session the Buchanan County School Board returned to open session and took a series of formal actions.

The board certified the closed session by roll‑call and then voted to accept Change Order Number 10 to the building package, which the presiding officer said resulted in a credit to the project. The board also accepted Amendment Number 4 to the SANSCO contract.

The board approved a motion to award paving/strapping work at Hurley Elementary to Sean Bostic; the transcript records the amount as "4,004 thousand dollars" and that figure is recorded here exactly as spoken but is ambiguous in the meeting record and requires verification in the written contract.
