Orland Park Mayor Jim Dodge announced a public meet-and-greet, “Pancakes with Mayor Dodge,” for Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Orland Park Civic Center. The event will run from 9 to 11 a.m., and residents are asked to RSVP because seating is limited.
The event is part of a monthly "meet the mayor" series that Dodge said is intended to rebuild relationships with local and state officials and provide a forum to discuss issues residents face. "If you're not familiar, we've started a monthly meet the mayor series where I'm happy to host different members of our local and state government rebuilding those relationships and to discuss issues that Orland Park residents are facing," Dodge said.
"I'm happy to announce our next event, Pancakes with Mayor Dodge, will be held the morning of Saturday, December 13 at our Orland Park Civic Center," Dodge said. He added that pancakes and conversation will run "from 9 to 11AM," and named State Representative Nicole Lehi as a special guest.
Space is limited; Dodge asked residents who want to attend to email mayor'sevents@orlandpark.org to reserve a spot. He also said the events will be held monthly and encouraged residents to visit the village website for a calendar of upcoming events and community outreach opportunities.
The announcement provides a chance for residents to meet elected officials in an informal setting; no formal agenda, votes or policy actions were announced during the message.
