Commissioners amended the motion to set the contract amount for the three-year period at $49,803.70 and to reflect legal edits recommended by county counsel, including removal of references to out‑of‑state biometric rules and change of governing law to Indiana.
County Attorney Mr. Cockrell explained the contract changes, and staff confirmed the vendor will replace broken devices and provide equipment to scale if the jail moves to a new facility. The board approved the amended agreement by voice vote (3-0).
The county will pay the first-year amount and return to commissioners for annual renewals for subsequent years, per the contract terms.
